[00:00:20] Speaker B: We believe vertical integration is the future chains, tools and services tailored specifically for gaming. This is exactly why we are building Chelsea as a dedicated layer three for high performance games. [00:00:38] Speaker A: We have a global server. The players from Southeast Asia can fight with players from Europe and also from the player suggestion they want to have a cross platform game so the users from PC platform and fight with the player from mobile platform in a sim match. [00:00:58] Speaker B: From the start it was clear that Arena Phase shares our long term vision for scalable high performance website gaming. Their deep expertise is in decentralized game design. Commitment to on chain innovation and rapidly growing global player base made them an ideal partner. [00:01:19] Speaker A: Foreign. [00:01:26] Speaker C: Welcome to today's Amy event with Blockus and Arena of Faith. My name is Andrew and I will be your host for today. We're thrilled to have you all here as we dive into the world of web3 gaming. Blockus is your all in one platform for web3 gaming, empowering games to use to build faster, reduce costs and focus entirely on delivering exceptional gameplay. This is the fourth in a series of animes where we'll connect with key players in the gaming industry. Whether you're a developer, gamer or just curious about web3, we are glad that you're here today. We're excited to welcome Blox's APAC BD lead, Bowen and Arena Faith founder Hayesen to share their insights on the future of Web3 Gaming, their groundbreaking partnership and the story behind arenas of faith's rise in the web3 gaming space. Before we dive in, please make sure to follow us on X, which is lockus and LinkedIn which is blockusgg for future events, industry news and updates on what we're building. And as well, feel free to share the space link during the event and if you have any questions for Bowen or Hasten, please drop them in the comments. We would also love to hear from you. Now without further ado, let's kick things off. So last week, as many of you may know, Blockus held an offline event in New York and officially announced Chelsea our testnet for Sony on the L3 for gaming powered by the Optimism Stack or OP stack, built for real time consumer applications and high throughput performance. We are very happy to have the opportunity to collaborate with Arena Faith on a series of projects. So Bowen and Faith, could you Bowen and Haysan, could you share why you chose each other and your Thoughts on the optimism stack? [00:03:02] Speaker B: Yes, yes, I'll go first. From the start it was clear that Arena Phase shares our long term vision for scalable, high performance website gaming. Their deep expertise is in decentralized game design. Commitment to on chain innovation and rapidly growing global player base made them an ideal partner. At Blockus we are building our gaming dedicated Layer three powered by the Optism stack to support exactly this caliber of product project. We choose the optimum stack because it offers several key advantages for next gen gaming. The first one is high throughput and low legacy, crucial for real time fast paced multiplayer experiences like are interface, mobile and PvP titles. The second one is modular customizable layer 3 architecture allowing us to optimize transaction speed, gas costs and user experience specially for gaming use cases. The third one is strong Ethereum alignment ensuring long term security and compatibility with the broader Web three game ecosystem. For game developers these aren't just technical features, they are enablers for better gameplay smoothie, onboarding and more flexible economies. Arena Phase is one of the most innovative and competitive Web three games in the space today. Industry giants like Tencent, Animalcan Brands and YGG Global they've pioneered a full stack decentralized esports experience. Their Proof of frame sync system is a game changer, centralized tournament verification with onchain, multi node validation for transparent, fair and decentralized competition. With over 250k players across PC and mobile, six interconnected products and robust on chain mechanics like play to earn, play to stake and AI training, Arena Phases is a true example of what Web3 Gaming can be when vision meets execution. We're thrilled to collaborate with Arena Phase team and look forward to scaling new hive together. [00:05:25] Speaker C: Amazing. Thank you so much for the introduction. Hasan, do you have anything to add on? [00:05:31] Speaker A: Yeah, I think it's very good to connect with each other and I think with this cooperation we can move forward because with the fifth doll ecosystem we have arena face, we have the other games ready for the market. So I think we will have bright future for the wealthwide gaming. [00:05:54] Speaker C: Thank you so much for adding on. I think we'll move on to the next question which is how do you view the current development of Web3 games? And I think as well this is a very open ended question. I'll leave it for both of you to respond as well. [00:06:09] Speaker B: We are seeing the Web3 gaming industry enter a new phase of of maturity. More developers are focusing on quality gameplay and sustainable economies instead of short term hype. Teams like Arena Phase represent this next wave bringing professional game development experiences and a Strong emphasis on user engagement at the infrastructure level we also see a shift. Instead of trying to force games into existing defi style chains, the industry is now building game first solutions. From chain design to SDKs to wallet UX. This is where blockers play a key role bridging technical innovation with practical support for game studios. [00:06:57] Speaker C: Great again Hasen, do you have anything. [00:06:59] Speaker A: To add on for current development web3 games? Actually I think lots of game studios start build web3 games from web2 gaming and for web3 games at the very beginning is kind of like play to earn. It's not quite good for this industry because people farm the token, sell the token, the token price goes down. That's not quite cool. So actually recent development to Web3 Gaming we developed the mobile game and I think it's a little bit skill based gambling but actually it's the esports. People can use different tokens to join the esports event and they can get the incentives after all this esports event and also in order to have a transparent esports event we have the proof of framesync, whole process and settlement on chain. So it's take the good advantage of Web3 blockchain techniques. And so I think it's good for Web3 games. At the same time I think we have to get profits for the web three games. So we get our games used to publish with Tencent before and we enable the users to use our token to buy game assets. Even it's not NFTs in the game. But anyway if they buy the assets they can build a stronger capital to win from the leaderboard to get incentives, et cetera. And also we have the referral system let users to, you know, invite users and get incentives is take the advantage of the tokens of web3. I think in the next step we have to get more profits to support the price of token and build better games. [00:08:48] Speaker C: Yeah, definitely. I can totally understand that. I think it's amazing that you've also focused a lot on being able to manage multiplat assets. Whether it might be user experience or more focusing on the technical aspect of web3 in arena of Faith. So I think it's just amazing being able to manage your game from different aspects in the Web3 space. I guess I have a few more questions for you Hasen actually. What inspired you to develop arena of Faith and what differentiates your game from other MLBA games on the market in terms of core competitiveness? [00:09:27] Speaker A: Okay, actually we used to be a Web2 game company since 2018 and we built lots of mobile games, PC games, AAA games, even on Switch. And at the year 2021 we changed our direction to Web3 because of course we can get some investment from Web3. So yeah, we start build Web3 games and actually after building Web2 games so far I think the technique called log step framesync had the web3spirit. So we use that technique to build the process settlement on chain games. It's not like you know, just NFT games and it's not like full on chain games only the process and settlement on chain. I think that's good for Web3 industry. So we start build mobile games because mobile games you already use the lockstep frame sync technology. So that inspires me to build this mobile game with our pre seed round investors. And also our game company has a long experience building mobile games and we are familiar with that and we have people working on the market. They also give us suggestions and they hope corporate us to build such a Web3 mobile game experience on mobile games and the marketing strategy we built arena face. [00:10:59] Speaker C: Amazing. Yeah, that's very fascinating how you transition from web two and web three and I think definitely could talk more about that later down the line. But I understand that your team also frequently engages with the community and what actual improvements have been made for arena of Faith based on player feedback or suggestions and if you could, if you could provide some examples too, that would be great. [00:11:23] Speaker A: Yeah, we have a fifth dial system so players can give us suggestions at any time because you know the users give us suggestions. So we are kind of like different compared with the other mobile games. For example with suggestions we have a global server. It's not like the other mobile games, they have local servers in each country. But for us we have a global server. The players from South Southeast Asia can fight with players from Europe. And also from the player suggestion they want to have a cross platform game. So the users from PC platform can fight with the player from mobile platform in the same match. Like if you are a player on Steam, you download the game, you can fight with players using your mobile phone. So it's also different compared with other mobile games and comes from the user's destiny. It makes a very global and web3 game. And with the suggestions from the gamer I think they are kind of like farmers. Some of the gamer they do have some suggestions to make the gameplay even more fun and also they want to do some investment and get more rewards. So they do give us lots of gameplay suggestions and and economic suggestions. I think it's good because they are the Gamer and investor sometimes at the same time. So we do accept their suggestions. For example, we have our play to stake system. The players said they feel it's not good to have a play to earn game and stake to earn. But we can try play to stake so we build our savings pool. We have our play to stake ecosystem. It's also good station from the community, if we listen to the community and I think it's good for our growth. [00:13:29] Speaker C: Amazing. Yeah, that's really fascinating as well this whole play to stake mechanism. I think elaborating more on that, could you maybe explain the main advantages of your play to stake mechanism and the difference in impact on like casual versus like hardcore players? [00:13:49] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. Casual players want to just have fun playing the game. And for hardcore players they can win from esports event and do some invest to get more token rewards. But actually the play to stake economic is quite different from other games. You can mint the hero card in our game after you have the hero card you can play certain heroes to get incentives. We have classic hero card and we have universal hero card. If you have the classic hero card you can play the game every day get incentives. If you have the universal hero card you can play the game. You have a chance to get big reward. After killing enemy heroes or kill river bosses, destroy the towers or win to get a MVP or even lose to get a svp you can get a chance to get a big price acp. Our token. After you get the token, half will goes immediately to your internal wallet address and the other will goes to the savings pool. And we have a a quite high APR for the savings pool. It's a very long term interest for the saving pool. So if you play the game you will get a high APR investment on the savings pool and you can withdraw your ACP anytime from the saving pool. So it's quite good for the users to join the farming and it's good to maintain the price because most of users want to save token in savings pool. And also the interest comes from the users who lose the game or do not play the game every day. So we do not even airdrop too much on the savings pool. So it's a very safe tokenomic. Moving forward we want to build more utilities to get a higher apron because today we are going to launch our new universal hero card. We will start to have a high apr. After this new cards you can try the game and from today we will have a high APR and try to get a high opportunity of the ECP rewards. [00:16:21] Speaker C: Yeah, amazing. Yeah, I Saw the update today, I definitely we'll try and download this game and see what it's like. Moving on, could you share more specific details regarding the recent upgrades to the currency system and reward mechanism? And furthermore, how are these adjustments expected to affect both casual and competitive or hardcore players? [00:16:44] Speaker A: Yeah, Arena Fitz is esports event driven. So we have our tournament polls. Recently we have some game guild or players hold tournaments in our game using our tournament tool. And we want to build a new campaign on that. Encourage more users to build esports event in our game. Kind of like a platform esports platform. You can build your own esports event, you can introduce your own brand, your own tokens in the game. Because we have already integrated lots of tokens in our game. Our partners can also hold esports event using the tournament tool. But anyway we have to hold campaign to encourage more partners users to create the esports event. So in the next step I think it's very important to encourage them to give more airdrops to the users who create esports event in Arena Faith. And actually we also have the ARPG game called arena of Dungeon Challengers. Recently we have game girls in Southeast Asia. They trying to promote the game. You know, we use the same account system with Arena Faith. If you have the, you know, account login Arena Faith you can also log in arena of Dungeon Challengers, that ARPG game. So with this new update of different games, we want to give more utilities to our token and more users try to hold our token to join the ecosystem. [00:18:25] Speaker C: Yeah, amazing. Yeah, great to hear that. There's always new updates coming along the way. Moving on to perhaps the community and the esports ecosystem. Specifically, how do you plan to balance competitiveness and and entertainment to ensure a engaging gaming experience for both newcomers and seasoned players? [00:18:46] Speaker A: So you mean balance the competitive and entertainment. You know, if the game have a competitiveness and I think the players can get entertainment from that. And you know, especially for users who likes to join esports event, I think they are quite excited to join new esports event every day. And for the newcomers, they may not have the idea how to join in these events, but they can play ranking games. I think we have newcomers joining these ranking games and Also we have AIs to help enjoy the game because players have different levels and we also have a good matchmaking system if there's not too much player at the same time we can also match stronger players. But anyway each side has stronger players so it's balanced and newcomers may enjoy the game together. Yeah, I think now it's balanced. The users can enjoy the esports and competitive gaming. [00:19:56] Speaker C: Amazing. Yeah, I think that's very, very fair. Points towards trying to maintain both sides of the yin and the yang. I guess as you could say your tweets in the past have mentioned collaborations with content creators and teams. Could you perhaps maybe hint or tell us what maybe significant esports or other content ecosystem initiatives players could expect from Arena Faith in the future? [00:20:23] Speaker A: Yeah, for the content creators because we get ticket income from the esports teams or players, so we will use that income to give incentives for the content creators. For example they have live stream or they do have create some videos to publish on YouTube, TikTok, etc. But anyway, if they do help create the content in our ecosystem, we will have incentives for them apart from the ticket income, apart from the ecosystem funds. So for content creator, you can join the game and play the game or join the esports given to record the videos to publish on like YouTube etc. Yeah. And also we have the fifth DAO ecosystem. You can also give proposals on new heroes and give proposals on new systems. For example we have the battle flag system. You can destroy a tower and you can plug in a battle and after that you will get more soldiers easily to destroy the enemy towers. And I think it's quite unique. It's also a system suggested by our community members. It's also kind of like a content creator. Give us stations, our dev team help build all these functions. We will also give you air jobs and thanks for different proposals. [00:22:00] Speaker C: Amazing. [00:22:01] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:22:01] Speaker C: If anyone here is a twitch streamer gamer content creator, definitely try out the game. Definitely let the team at arena of Faith know that you're a content creator and they'll definitely send some rewards your way. Moving on, how does arena of Faith define fair competition? In the context of decentralization and the free flow of assets, how do you ensure game balancing and fairness? [00:22:28] Speaker A: Okay, so again about fairness, fair competition because we use the blockchain technique, we use pro for frame sync, so it's fair. Why? Because you know lots of games, online games, they use the CS structure. CS structure means server client structure. The server is the only brain and the server will make the main logic and the client only shows the graphics and input, et cetera. So it's very centralized way to make an online game using a CI structure. But actually we are using lock step frame sync. So each client will run the game logic, their server only synchronize the input data to each clients. It's very fair because each client runs the logic Right. And also we have the smart contract. So each client run the logic and interact with the smart contract. The smart contract can, based on the majority of the conclusions, to make rewards to the users. So even if one user cheat, he cannot get the reward because the other users will say oh, he has got the wrong result and the smart contract will not deliver rewards to him. It's fair and safe. And also we have the validation node. If 10 of the players are cheating, we also have the validation node to make it safety. But you know, each side want to win the game, there will not be 10 players cheating at the same time. But anyway, we have the validation node, the logic runs on the client side, so it's a decentralized way to achieve this. And I think it's quite fair competition after that. And thanks to Web3, thanks to Blockchain, the mobile games have a more bright and different future. [00:24:18] Speaker C: Amazing. Glad to hear that. The likelihood of 10 cheaters being in a game is very low for the future. Based on community feedback, what are the top three concerns players have inputted? And what major events or new features does your team plan to roll out in the next, let's say like six months. [00:24:38] Speaker A: Top three concerns players have, you know, from the community feedback, they want to get more users and also they want to have a hype pump of the token price, of course. But anyway, in order to achieve this we have to deal with, yeah, of course, some selling pressures from early investors. And after that we have to launch new features. We have to open new campaigns with our partners to get more users and also give more airdrops from our partners. So the price of our token and our community will have more faith in this ecosystem. And also as for the Future plans, in 5th Dao we have Arena Faith, arena of Dungeon Challengers, arena of Ancient warriors and several other games. Some of them are pure web3 games, some of them are web2 games but integrate our token, use the token to buy assets immediately. And also we have the token rewards on the leaderboard and some unique bosses in this way, also with the referral system, we can get new users to play these games. For example, we used to have a Web2 game that if we want to buy new user, we have to spend around US$3 but each players will give us US$2 lifetime. I think it's not good, we cannot make a success on that. But with Web3 we get much cheaper users. For example, now the users come to US$1 to buy a new user, but each user will give us two US dollars So it makes previous Web two games can get profits. So in the next step we want to get more profits. We want to take the advantage of Web3 gaming. So we won't publish these games within the six month, I think within this year. [00:26:46] Speaker C: Yeah. Amazing. Yeah. It's really exciting to hear your new upcoming Web3 and Web2 games that might be released later this year. And interesting is how they're also interconnected with your token as well. I think finally my final question is for you Specifically is Arena Fate's long term vision is to lead the Web3 MOBA ecosystem? What is the biggest challenge you would say your team and the game is currently facing and where do you see the next breakthrough opportunity? [00:27:19] Speaker A: Yeah, it's a good question actually. Mobile game if we want to buy a new user in mobile games, it's very expensive. It's like US$20 to buy a new user for a mobile game. But much cheaper for ARPG games or other casual games. Very expensive to buy a new mobile gamer. It's the biggest challenge. But actually we cooperate game girls, we cooperate blockchain teams to use a Web three way to get new users. Also the referral system to invite new users and give them our token rewards. But anyway we want to lower the price to get a new user. And recently we also cooperate. The mobile factory led them to help us sell mobile phones, the real mobile phones. We want to build the RWE assets because some, you know, game girls and communities, they want to sell these phones and also we help them to create these phones and also, you know, install our game in these phones. We will let all these users buy the phone and we get profits from the setting of the phone. And also they have the game in this phone to play the game to develop the new commerce for our ecosystem. So anyway we want to get more users in a cheaper way. Much cheaper way. [00:28:50] Speaker C: Amazing. Yeah, I think that definitely is a very valid challenge and I think definitely can understand the profit margin or the opportunities for reducing costs. I think we'll move on to more. So a general question for both you and Bowen. What trends do you foresee for for the development of Web3 games in the next few years? Maybe BO and you could start us off. [00:29:17] Speaker B: Yes, of course, of course. From our perspective at bakus, there are three key trends stand out. The first one is purpose built infrastructure. We believe vertical integration is the future. Chains, tools and services tailored specifically for gaming. This is exactly why we are building Chelsea as a dedicated layer suite for high performance performance games. The second one is improve onboarding solution, social login, invisible wallets and seamless on chain interactions will remove barriers for traditional Gamers to Inter Web3 environments. And the last one is about ecosystem playbooks rather than isolated projects. We'll see more ecosystem driven growth where share standards, token economies and user bases across multiple games increase network effects. We're excited to build this future together with leading projects like Arena Faith showcasing what's possible when world class Games meet robust Web3 infrastructure. [00:30:26] Speaker C: Amazing. Yeah, I think definitely the ecosystem we've already seen Arena Faith plan or already trying to implement that into their games which is amazing. Hasan, do you have anything to add on for this question? [00:30:41] Speaker A: Promote more games with rwa, with Web two ways to buy users with Web three ways to encourage users, cheaper users and investors to be a very good Web3 publisher. And also in the next step we also have VR games. We have already shared some demo our tweet recently X recently and I think VR games have the benefits of NFT interoperable of the different NFTs in different VR games. We have two competitive VR games ready for the market and I do VR games. Web three VR games. I think it has the future. [00:31:33] Speaker C: Amazing. Yeah, I think it's really exciting to hear. I own an Oculus at home too, so definitely excited to see how VR and Blockchain come together in the near future as well. All right, so in that case, before we wrap up, a huge thank you to Bowen and Hasten again for joining us today and sharing the perspectives on both arena of faith and web3 gaming as a whole. We've covered a lot today as well, from emerging trends to community to fairness and the future plans for arena of Faith as well.
